Terms of Service

Welcome to Puzzle Press. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Puzzle Press mobile application (the "App") operated by Puzzle Press Games ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Puzzle Press is a puzzle-solving application for iOS that provides logic puzzles across eight puzzle types: Sudoku, Killer Sudoku, Kakuro, Futoshiki, Takuzu, Kakurasu, Tents, and Bimaru. The App offers daily puzzles, an archive of past puzzles, and curated puzzle book collections.

3. Subscription Tiers

The App offers two tiers of access:

Free Tier

• Access to 1 puzzle per day
• 7-day archive of past puzzles
• All puzzle types and difficulty levels

Premium Tier

• Unlimited puzzle access
• Full archive of all past puzzles
• Access to all puzzle book collections

4. Subscription Billing and Renewal

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings in the App Store after purchase
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription

5. iCloud and Data Sync

The App uses Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to sync your puzzle progress and statistics across your devices. An active iCloud account is required for data synchronization. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from iCloud service disruptions, changes to your iCloud account, or insufficient iCloud storage.

6. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including but not limited to puzzle designs, graphics, user interface elements, and software code, is the property of Puzzle Press Games or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written consent
• Extract or scrape puzzle content from the App
• Circumvent any access restrictions or subscription limitations

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its related systems
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the App
• Interfere with any other user's enjoyment of the App

8. Availability and Updates

We strive to keep the App available and up to date, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:

• Update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time
• Perform maintenance that may temporarily limit availability
• Change puzzle content, difficulty levels, or available puzzle types

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, secure, or continuously available.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Puzzle Press Games shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) shall survive.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
